That line is tied to the Orbiter's radio and has a radius (distance) setting on it. If you walk away from the radio it will gradually fade out.
This should be fixed now.

We will soon be adding a number of the Nora transmissions to the "Enable Hint Transmissions" toggle in Audio options screen. This way you can have her non-essential transmissions muted if you want to (in addition to the Lotus and Ordis ones already affected by this slider).
We don't have any specific plans for Dolby Atmos at the moment, but it is a possibility in the future.

Thanks for the report. In your Windows sound settings can you try setting the Communications tab to "Do Nothing" and let us know if that solves the issue.
